Viewfinders Digital Video Club Member Benefits

The dues for 2010 are again just $30 which cover our expenses (prorated quarterly).

The more significant benefits of membership are:

1. Viewfinders Monthly Newsletter. This colorful publication produced by our Club Editor, Brian Lucas, contains useful and pertinent info

regarding Club activities and useful articles to help you make better quality movies.

2. Screening Eligibility. By being a Club member you'll be able to have your video(s) screened during our monthly general meetings which will give you the opportunity to see your latest creation up on Quinlan Center’s BIG screen.

3. Club Movie-making Production Crew. A sub-group of the club called Viewfinders Video Productions produces the annual club movie designed to compete in amateur movie festivals. Our award-winning movies  include "Maybe Today", “Dearly Departed” and “Two Left Feet”. This year’s movie "Through the Dark Glass" has been released and will be available for purchase at our July meeting.

4. Club Annual Membership Video Contest. Membership allows video production entries in the annual October Club event. Also, there are several special video "theme challenge" events through the year.

5 Special Event Notification. To receive E-mail notification of any offline special events, activities or offers, you must be a Club member. Events in the past several years included an evening at Lucas Films at the San Francisco Presidio, at Pixar Films in Emeryville, and Dolby Sound Studios in San Francisco.

6 AMPS [American Motion Picture Society] Member. This membership qualifies Viewfinders Club members to enter AMP’s annual movie contest held in late Fall.
